Power Ranger ACG promotions

Today I have found two packs of promotional ACG cards. One set was found in the Power Rangers Super Samurai official magazine, the other at a PRMF promotional even in the Entertainer.

Power Rangers Super Samurai Magazine with free ACG cards

Inside the magazine itself, there is a two page spread for the Megaforce toys:
Power Rangers Megaforce toy add in issue 16 of the Power Rangers Super Samurai Magazine
The back cover also advertises the next issue:
Power Rangers Megaforce  next issue advertisement
They are making the switch from Power Rangers Super Samurai to Power Rangers Megaforce.

On the cover it advertises that you get 5 Megaforce Cards and has the picture of Megaforce Red. All the packets inside the issues I saw were the same so I'm guessing this is the only set in this magazine.

Free EU Power Rangers Megaforce cards in the Super Samurai Magazine
You get some really cool cards in this little pack, including the Super Rare MMPR Red Ranger. There is a problem though, that MMPR Red Ranger is supposed to be a shiny. Not only have they edited the card, changed the contrast and printed it on cheaper card, made it glossy, they have taken away the shiny background.

I feel that we are been cheated out of the awesome cards even though this card was free. I don't agree with them changing the cards like this. It's good we are getting them, but they are sacrificing quality to save money and it really bothers me. I don't see why they can't just release the cards here. I had to import mine from America with a friends help.

The second promotional cards where found in the Entertainer. I spotted this from the outside and ducked in to have a look.
Small Power Ranger cutout
On the table inside there was a Gosei Morpher, a load of A4 competition papers and some promotional cards:

The Power Ranger competition is only open to Children ages 12 and under, adults without children cannot enter before you all rush there.

The free cards are pretty cool, although they have mixed series one and two up again.

The Entertainer EU promotional cards
Overall, it's a good haul for ACG EU cards today.

Anyone looking for any US Power Rangers ACG, check out my sales threads on:

Rangerboard Link and Rangercrew Link

Also, if you have an iPhone and can't access the scanner app, you aren't alone. The app has been down in the UK and the US since Thursday night. Very frustrating since I just got my cards from America and installed the US app to my phone since the UK one wasn't working.

ACG UK Sales

ACG cards are also now available on the Forbidden Planet website:

Booster packs are £3.50 each: http://forbiddenplanet.com/107264-power-rangers-the-card-game-booster-pack/

Starter Deck is £7.99: http://forbiddenplanet.com/107265-power-rangers-the-card-game-deck/

This is the cheapest I have seen the Starter Deck so far. You will need to buy the Starter Deck to complete the card collection as the cards included inside are not available in the boosters.

The price for the cards is pretty crazy though, I can get two boxes from America for the price of 15 single boosters from there. I would recommend you shop around on American websites and see about getting the boxes from there. There are 15 packs in a box, ten cards in each pack.

 20th Anniversary products and more

Toys R Us have finally listed the Legacy Morpher and Legacy Megazord on their website. I for one am not impressed with what could be the look of our Legacy Morpher and the prices of both.

Priced at £49.99 ($76) I'm not impressed. These images may not be the final product, but Bandai themselves earlier this year, stated to reduce costs, they would be making the Morpher plates plastic, but keeping the coins metal. I don't find this fair. I know Bandai do this to us a lot, but we are paying more than those in America for an inferior product. The last time they did this to a Morpher was the Overdrive Tracker and it was awful. I am very glad my good friend picked me up a Legacy Morpher months ago in America.

UK Legacy Megazord
http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Toys-R-Us/Toys/Action-Figures-and-Playsets/Power-Rangers-Legacy-Collector-Megazord%280045010%29?searchPosition=0

The UK Legacy Megazord, I'm hoping it's still metal, but I have my doubts. The price is insane though, £69.99 ($107). Seriously, they haven't just switched the dollar symbol with the pound this time, they've also increased the price. I feel so sorry for any kid that wants this as a toy. It's nearly the same price as the Q-Rex when it was first released in 2002.

In other news, new toys have been spotted in the Entertainer. The Morph Vehicle figures. I didn't see price tag around though.
Robo Knight Morphin Vehicle
Shark Morphin Vehicle
Dragon Morphin Figure

Thanks to the awesome superawesomezord, we also have the codes for the bind pack minifigures. No more feeling the packets. I used this list and can confirm that all the codes are correct.

Note, to find the code, you need to look at the back of the packet, on the bottom there are some embossed numbers, they all start with 05374, but the last five numbers are unique.

Megaforce Red - 0537482303
Megaforce Red (Trans) - 0537480403
Megaforce Yellow - 0537420403
Megaforce Black - 0537410403
Megaforce Blue - 0537492303
Megaforce Pink - 0537430403
Megaforce Robo Knight - 0537450403

MMPR Black Ranger - 0537411403
MMPR Pink Ranger - 0537421403
MMPR Lord Zedd - 0537451403

Also, for those of you looking for cards from the Power Rangers Action Card Game in the UK, I am selling all my extras here: http://www.rangerboard.com/showthread.php?t=163784
Prices are negotiable.

Some of the UK Power Ranger Action Cards

The cards pictured below are the 51 cards I've managed to collect since the Megaforce line came out.

First five cards from the Toxic magazine
The top five cards are from the Toxic magazine. They are EU versions of the cards, so they are edited not to have any game information on them. I have put them apart from the other cards as they aren't from the same set. They have the letter E at the end of their numbers, making them into a separate set.

These cards are from the Gosei Morpher apart from the Megaforce Red Ranger on the second row, that was from the minifigure set.

These cards are the last of the cards from the Gosei Morpher and the other minifigure cards.

Page one of the cards from the Action Card game starter pack.

Page two of the cards from the Action Card game starter pack.

Page three of the cards from the Action Card game starter pack.

Page four of the cards from the Action Card game starter pack.

So far, I love these cards, but I really am disappointed in Bandai UK for no releasing the booster packs. There are over 120 cards in the Rise of Heroes set, I've got cards 91 to 120. What about the other cards? I want the other cards.
 New toys listings online!

Toys R Us (Link) have now updated their website with the Megaforce line. The prices are like the other stores, but the minifigures are £0.50 more expensive. The figures are priced at £7.99, making them £0.51 cheaper than in the Entertainer.

Tesco (Link) have also updated their page to include the Megaforce line, but they are also partnered with the Entertainer, so prices vary depending on stock levels:

Argos (Link) have also updated their website a little, but they have only added five items. They have included the build and morph set, but priced it at £20, making it £3 more expensive than the Entertainer.

Wooworths (Link) have also listed the toys, but the prices are a little on the high side. they do however have something new.
Power Rangers Megaforce Pinball (Link)
Priced at £10, this is a pretty cool toy. I have one or two of these in storage, I think I have the Wild Force version. I loved these little games as a kid.

Amazon have also got Volume 4 of the Power Rangers Samurai DVD up for pre-order for £8.00. The release date is August 12.

Bandai UK's reply to people wanting the card game in the UK

https://www.facebook.com/BandaiUK/posts/553306264727982
Bandai released this statement earlier today, defending their decision to not release the booster packs to the card game in the UK. UK fans, including me, a long time collector (19 years), are not happy with this decision. Every year we miss out on something. Normally it's extra figures, or a special line, this year, it's the cards. This wouldn't have been too much of a big deal if it was just a card collection like the Ranger Strike series, but this affects the very expensive Gosei Morpher. The Gosei Morpher comes with in built sounds which can be activated using the cards that come with the toys and the booster packs.

Back of UK Gosei Morpher (image by me)

Fig. 1 - close up of the UK Gosei Morpher box (Image by me)
The back of the box also claims that there are "over 180 phrases" and that you have to "collect cards to unlock more phrases" (Fig. 1), but with the cards only being released with other very expensive toys (apart from the minifigures) and occasionally as promotions, there is no way we can get them all. With the price of the toys, there is no way I can justify getting any more than what I already have. Basic figures have increased in price by £1.00 to £2.00 just this year alone. The Morpher is double the price of last years. Yes, its an awesome toy, but I am not happy about not being able to use the features. They could have easily have taken out most of the features and have sold the Morpher cheaper in the UK. It would have sucked, but at least we wouldn't have wasted our money buying an expensive morpher with loads of different phrases that we can't activate.

Inside the UK Action Card Game Starter Deck, the instructions have been modded so that there is no mention of the booster sets (Fig. 2). So it seems that Bandai has never intended to release the cards properly in the UK, but they still mention the release of booster packs as a side note about the Villain and Support cards (Fig. 3). This is probably an error on their part regarding this little section.

I also checked the scanner app on my iPhone, but there is no mention of booster packs at all. Not surprising at all. I was hoping that they would release the updates for it, but I'm doubting they will be.

Some people have also argued that we have missed out on toys in the past and no one made a huge fuss. One example was the Gold Samurai Morpher last year. The first issue I have with this is that no one cared about the morphers last year. I myself passed on them because the quality was so awful. We have also missed out on other toys in the UK, but the cards are very different. The fact that they are necessary to use the features of a £30 Morpher has really annoyed UK fans. This is the most expensive Morpher ever released in the UK, but what is the point in releasing it if you can't play with it? Why advertise there are 180 different sounds when there is no way we can access them, even if we bought all the toys from this line, we won't even come close to finding them all.

I just feel that we have been let down here in a big way. We aren't just losing out on a collection of cards, but the main function of the most expensive none exclusive/20th Anniversary Morpher out in stores. People are angry and rightly so, but at least now we have the option to import cards from America. We don't have to miss out on this.

Very bad news for UK Ranger fans

Today we have had some very bad news for anyone, like me, wanting to collect the action card game. recieved this email from Bandai today:

Email from Bandai (Image by )
It has also been confirmed by Sadsmileyface who got this message on facebook from A1 Comics:

This may not seem like a big deal for some, but the cards were the one thing I really wanted to get from this season. It makes no sense to me why they don't release some boxes of cards in the UK, but they have a track record of not releasing cards in the UK. The first one I remember were the PRDT cards. I didn't know they existed until I visited Disneyland Paris and saw them in the shops. I have a near complete collection of the cards in French. I have no idea why they weren't released in the UK as well as other parts of Europe. We never saw the Ranger Strike cards in Europe at all. This was a huge shame as they cards are awesome, but I only have a Time Fire (Quantum Ranger) card from this set that I picked up in Japan two years ago.

If any UKers are interested, I am going to order some cases of cards from America, anything I have extra I am willing to sell to you guys.

In other news. The missing figures have been found in Toys R Us, Warrington. It is now 100% confirmed that these figures have been released in small numbers in the UK.
Newly confirmed figures (Image by thunderzordpower)
We also have images of the Build and Morph Megazord set.
Build and Morph box (Image by me)

Fully transformed Megazord (image by The BlacK PhoeniX)
The card inside the box (Image by The BlacK PhoeniX)
This is a very nice little set, a few bits of paint missing, but it's a really cool toy. The best part about is is that the parts can be swapped with other pieces bought in other sets to create different modes.

Toys R Us sightings!

Power Rangers Megaforce toys have now been sighted in Toys R Us stores around the UK. They are carrying the basic toys that the other stores are, but they also have some nice little exclusives that I've always loved, the Zord Armoured Figures. I've still got my PRTF ones from 2001 mint in box. These figures have only been sold in Toys R Us and Toymaster in the UK, but priced at £8.99 each, it's not good, they used to be less than £5.00 each and I used to get them as a fun little addition to whatever else I was buying.

The stores have also given us the first sightings of the Loogie, Vark and Robo Knight figures.

Other stores now have their listings up, hamleys.com have also put some Megaforce toys online, but don't bother looking unless you want to pay a lot more than other stores. The Gosei Morpher is priced at £39.00, making it £9.00 more expensive than Tesco and the Entertainer. All the prices on their website are insane, it's a shame because the prices in store will be that high as well.

There still hasn't been any sign of booster packs for the card game. I have checked various stores and asked around, but no one has any idea about it. This is a little worrying, but we still have time. I really hope we get them and they are the the Bandai UK versions, the cards are the big thing I want from this line.

Awesome news for people in Scotland! The Megaforce toys have hit the Entertainer in Glasgow. It looks like they have the same toys as the rest of the UK!
